IT Security Analyst - Threat Modeler

CBTS is currently seeking an IT Security Analyst - Threat Modeler for a position located in Cincinnati, OH.

Key Responsibilities:

Threat Modeling and Analysis:

- Develop and maintain comprehensive threat models for critical systems, applications, cloud environments, and networks.

- Identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities through rigorous analysis and assessment.

- Conduct regular threat intelligence analysis to stay updated on emerging threats and attack vectors.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

- Perform detailed risk assessments to evaluate the impact of identified threats on the organization's IT infrastructure, cloud environments, network, and applications.

- Recommend and implement appropriate security controls and countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security requirements are integrated into the development and deployment processes.

Security Architecture and Design:

- Work closely with the IT and development teams to design secure system architectures and ensure security best practices are followed.

- Review and evaluate existing security architectures and recommend improvements.

- Provide guidance on secure coding practices and assist in the development of secure software.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Document threat models, risk assessments, and security control implementations.

- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on threat modeling activities and findings for senior management and other stakeholders.

- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to IT security and threat modeling.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or related credentials are highly desirable.

- Proven experience in threat modeling, risk assessment, and security architecture.

- Strong understanding of IT security principles, methodologies, and best practices.

- Proficiency in threat modeling tools and techniques.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

- Ability to stay updated on the latest security threats and trends.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience working in large enterprise environments.

- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.

- Knowledge of cloud security, network security, and application security.
