Job Summary: My client is seeking a talented and motivated Investment Associate to join our Credit Team based in New York, NY. The successful candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a strong focus on credit analysis and investment. As an Investment Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating and executing investment opportunities, managing portfolio assets, and contributing to the growth and success of our energy and infrastructure investments.
Key Responsibilities:
Investment Analysis:
Conduct detailed financial analysis, credit assessment, and due diligence on potential investment opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Develop and maintain complex financial models to support investment decisions.
Prepare investment memos, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
Portfolio Management:
Monitor and manage existing portfolio investments, including financial performance, compliance, and risk management.
Assist in the preparation of regular portfolio reviews and performance reports.
Identify opportunities for value enhancement and risk mitigation within the portfolio.
Transaction Execution:
Support the execution of investment transactions, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
Coordinate with legal, tax, and other advisors to ensure smooth transaction execution.
Manage timelines and deliverables to ensure efficient deal closure.
Market Research:
Conduct industry and market research to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Stay updated with regulatory, economic, and market developments impacting the credit investment landscape.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (CFA, MBA) are a plus.
3-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, credit analysis, or a related field.
Strong financial modeling, analytical, and valuation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
