Interim CFO
We are currently seeking candidates for an Interim CFO - Fund Administration at a global asset management co. located in Midtown New York, NY, 10105. This role is responsible for managing 1940 Act Funds. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in mutual fund administration and/or reporting in the financial services/asset management industry(s).
This is a 6+ month temporary role and pays up to $150.00 per hour (based on relevant work experience) within a 40-hour work week.
On-site 5 days per week.

We are currently seeking candidates for an Interim CFO - Fund Administration at a global asset management co. located in Midtown New York, NY, 10105. This role is responsible for managing 1940 Act Funds. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10+ years of experience in mutual fund administration and/or reporting in the financial services/asset management industry(s).

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of fund administration professionals
- Manage New Product Launches
- Oversee the entire fund administration process
- Certify financial statements and control procedures to the SEC on Form N-CSR
- Dividend and capital gains distribution processing
- Regulatory reporting and filings
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable regulations, including the Investment Company Act of 1940 (40 Act) and related SEC guidance
- Partner with the investment management, compliance, and legal teams to ensure smooth fund operations and address any compliance issues
- Implement and maintain efficient fund administration processes and controls, leveraging technology to streamline operations
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party service providers (custodians, auditors, etc.)
- Analyze and identify potential operational risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics)
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in mutual fund administration and/or reporting in the financial services/asset management industry(s)
- Strong background working with 1940 Act Funds
- Strong Excel (VLOOKUP & pivot tables) skills
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSF, or MST) or certification (CPA or CFA) is preferred
- Team player with a strong focus on getting the job done within established strict timeframes
