Our client, a healthcare tech startup, is looking for an Insurance Operations Associate to join their team. This is a temporary opportunity to help a growing team while they take on high-volume projects. The Insurance Operations Associate will assist in daily operations to obtain provider and patient information for mental healthcare insurance verification.

Position Overview
The Insurance Operations Associate will navigate through different platforms to collect provider credentials information, submit provider credentialing applications to insurance companies, and use Google Sheets to track information from insurance companies. The Insurance Operations Associate should be effective and efficient in their work and not mind a job with repetitive responsibilities daily. They are an individual who is a fast learner and an adept communicator both verbally and in writing. At least one year of experience in insurance verification or a related field is required.
Responsibilities Of The Insurance Operations Associate
Quickly familiarize yourself with insurance-related terminology including, but not limited to, in-network, out-of-network, license type, and provider specialty.
Gather provider details such as Provider ID, license type, practice location, etc., by browsing the product website, the database, and healthcare institution websites.
Promptly and accurately enter the collected information about the provider into credentialing applications.
Record your progress and any issues you may encounter in a dedicated Google Sheet thoroughly and systematically.
Adhere to a full-time schedule of 8 hours per day (between 8 am – 6 pm EST to conform to the business hours of insurance companies).
Maintain regular and clear communication with your supervisor to understand and meet the expected work hours and contribution.
Carry out all tasks remotely, offering you the flexibility of working from home.
Qualifications For The Insurance Operations Associate
1 – 2 years of experience in insurance verification or similar.
CRM (Zendesk, Salesforce, and Hubspot) or data entry experience is preferred.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
Self-starter and able to work autonomously as well as contribute to a collaborative team.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
