Work Schedule: Ally designates roles as (1) fully on-site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. All work requirements are subject to change at any time based on leader discretion and/or business need.

The Opportunity

This position provides a key entry point for any data analyst wanting to learn about our systems, products, and the data within. Analysis of efficiency of our configuration processes is expected, with process improvement plans and automated solutions being developed as an outcome. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about IT projects, bridging the gap between IT, Project Managers, and various business owners across Insurance. Special projects will be assigned, working with the data warehouse and analytics team. This position will assist the Insurance Operations business unit to achieve the product delivery goals by providing configuration services including requirement gathering, system configuration, user acceptance testing, implementation and post-implementation support. This role requires the ability to provide data configuration services as prioritized by the configuration manager and/or team leader while establishing a collaborative one-team approach to accomplishing all product development through delivery goals.

This position is a hybrid role in Detroit or Schaumburg.

The Work Itself

  • Apply knowledge of DP-S products to product development through delivery process.
  • Gather product requirements from DP-S Product Development team.
  • Assist in product related configuration development.
  • Execute configuration programming in test and production environments.
  • Assist with unit testing of the system configuration.
  • Provide defect resolution and support during system testing and user acceptance testing.
  • Assist with the development of the User Acceptance Test Plan on Product Releases.
  • Perform production support analysis on defects submitted to the configuration team.
  • Perform SME role in system related projects to help define correct system implementations.
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality.
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain consolidation processes.

Skills

The Skills You Bring

  • 1+ Years of Data and Business Analysis preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Information Science or similar background required.
  • Ability to work across cultures and functions.
  • Strong Microsoft Access - Excel.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Programming Proficiency: (possible applications/languages) Visual Basic, Oracle SQL, JAVA, and Power BI
