Job Title: IBM Administrator (US Citizen Only)

Location: Albany, NY(Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain IBM hardware and software systems, including AIX, IBM i (AS/400), WebSphere, and DB2.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Perform regular system backups, updates, and patches.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect IBM systems and data.
  • Collaborate with application development teams to support IBM-based applications.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Provide technical support and training to users and IT staff.
  • Stay updated with the latest IBM technologies, best practices, and industry trends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience as an IBM Administrator.
  • Strong knowledge of IBM systems, including AIX, IBM i (AS/400), WebSphere, and DB2.
  • Proficiency in system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with IBM system security and compliance practices.
  • Experience in backup and recovery solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • IBM certification (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator) is a plus.
  • Prior Federal Experience Will be a Plus
