Description

Albion College invites applications for the Human Resources Specialist position. This position designs, implements and manages the employee relations function for the Human Resources Department including staff training and development, mediation and employee engagement. The Human Resources Specialist deals with a diverse group of campus constituents at all levels of the College through individual meetings, group consultations and dispute resolution. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload. This position will actively promote diversity, belonging and equity through critical and compassionate communication and strategic outreach efforts to various students, faculty and staff (e.g., historically under-represented, first-generation, undocumented and DACA students, LGBTQIA students).

FLSA Classification: Salaried / Exempt / Administrative

Employment Status: At-Will

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business, public administration, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in mediation and other dispute resolution methods.
• Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of training programs.
• Experience with a complex, detail-oriented, confidential work environment
