Role Summary
The Human Resources & Talent Management Lead (HR/TM Lead) is responsible for effective delivery and enhancement of HR operations and TM for Jabian, LLC. This role oversees HR/TM services for all Jabian employees and offices, ensuring quality, high-touch service to Jabian’s business and its employees. It includes the supervision of the HR team and collaboration with Talent Acquisition and business leaders. As a member of Jabian’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), this role aligns HR and TM practices with the firm’s needs. The HR/TM role requires an executive understanding of Jabian’s business model, strategy and guiding principles while enhancing employee engagement and fostering a high-performance culture.
Role & Responsibilities
People Strategy
Execute against Jabian’s people strategy to ensure realization of defined objectives
Collaborate with People Lead to enhance people strategy as needed with changes in Jabian’s business and/or market
Recommend and apply industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes that may impact the strategy
Manage employee survey and data analysis, presenting findings and actionable recommendations to leadership to inform decision-making and drive positive change within the organization
Proactively identify opportunities to enhance HR and TM practices, processes, and programs to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and employee engagement
HR Operations
Oversee the team responsible for accurate and timely payroll and benefits processing; leading the team to take ownership of any issues and drive solutions
Ensure HR processes and procedures are continuously improved and performed correctly with a focus on increasing efficiency and best utilizing systems
Manage contracts and billing with HR vendors to ensure Jabian receives quality and value
Ensure accurate and efficient HR/TM systems, reporting and data integrations
Apply thorough understanding of regulatory and legal requirements to all HR matters and advise the leadership team on changes
Consult with legal advisors for complex employee relations issues and compliance matters
Develop and drive accountability for employment policies
Talent Management
Provide guidance and support to leaders on handling employee relations, performance management, and career development
Oversee and continuously improve a comprehensive onboarding program
Oversee the offboarding process, analyzing exit interview data to identify trends and make recommendations for improving employee retention and engagement
Direct annual performance review process ensuring they are conducted fairly and consistently across the organization
Drive performance development throughout the year including consistent feedback and coaching for all employees
Work with leaders to balance Jabian careers with business opportunities
Apply a thorough understanding of Jabian’s people and business model using this knowledge to inform talent management practices
Work with business leaders to ensure client delivery and career development are working effectively towards Jabian’s purpose, vision and guiding principles
Proactively address employee relation matters ensuring fair and consistent resolution
Drive efforts to engage and retain Jabian’s workforce aligned with the culture
Lead compensation strategy and decision making for incentive programs and competitive rewards
Work with leaders to enhance career development and learning opportunities by identifying skill gaps and implementing training programs to address them
Senior Leadership
Actively participate as a member of Jabian’s SLT and provide insights and recommendations on people-related issues to support business goals
Develop the HR professionals on the team through mentoring and coaching in a collaborative and supportive team environment
Coach executives on people matters
Collaborate across all business functions on decisions to ensure alignment and integration of HR practices
Skills & Abilities
Proven leadership capability and achievement of followship
Current knowledge of HR and TM best practices
Understanding of professional services industry
Change management experience
Experience coaching leaders in people development
Positive reflection of Jabian’s culture
Ability to promote teaming and collaboration
Ability to manage competing demands while being extremely adaptable and flexible
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills as well as attention to detail
Attention to detail and proven problem solving in a dynamic business environment
Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics
Commitment to confidentiality and diplomacy
Experience with UKG and PayScale/PayFactors preferred
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree required
5-10 years of relevant experience
Experience in professional services industry highly preferred
