About the Role:
We are searching a seasoned HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our dynamic team in New York. Reporting to the VP of HR, this strategic yet hands-on role will partner with business leaders to drive HR initiatives that align with our business goals. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to influence and drive change within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support organizational goals.
- Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee development.
- Talent Management: Lead initiatives in talent acquisition, onboarding, retention, and succession planning to ensure we attract and retain top talent.
- Organizational Development: Identify and implement organizational development initiatives that enhance workforce capabilities, culture, and engagement.
- Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Stay updated on labor laws and ensure company policies reflect current legislation.
- Performance Management: Oversee the performance review process, providing guidance to managers on setting goals, giving feedback, and managing performance.
- HR Metrics: Utilize HR data and analytics to inform decision-making and measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives.
- Employee Engagement: Develop and execute programs to foster a positive work environment and culture that aligns with our clients’ values and mission.
- Change Management: Support the organization through change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimizing disruption to the business.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in an HRBP role or similar capacity, preferably in a technology or financial services environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience in both strategic HR planning and hands-on execution.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices and US labor laws.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience with HRIS systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
