We are seeking a dedicated HR Specialist to join our team in Herndon, Virginia. The HR Specialist will serve as a key team member, assisting with a variety of personnel-related administrative tasks and striving to help maintain a positive work environment. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. Looking for someone that can start ASAP and can work onsite.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the orientation and onboarding of all new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
Handle administrative tasks related to the termination process, including the completion of necessary paperwork.
Manage full cycle onboarding process.
Provide support to team members for various needs such as retirement gifts, new permanent packages, and awards.
Manage all new permanent paperwork.
Assist with HRIS problems and maintaining data integrity within the system.
Support initiatives for team member and manager training as facilitated by HR.
Manage all compliance.
Assist with maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
Work closely with different HR leaders.
Assist in developing and implementing plans for HR programs.
Support full cycle benefits administration
Work in various software systems. Need to be strong with technology
Requirements
Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in HR.
HRIS experience.
Can start asap, no conflicts.
Knows HR compliance and working with vendors for benefits
Proven experience in Compliance and Hiring Processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and learning new technology.
Strong background in Human Resources (HR) Administration
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills
Must have a bachelor's degree
Strong understanding of labor laws and disciplinary procedures
Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
