LHH is partnering with a client seeking a detail-oriented Temporary HR Data Entry associate to support payroll needs in Sterling, VA. This role is ideal for someone with a background in payroll processing or data entry and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will support our payroll department in ensuring accurate and timely payroll for our employees. This is a temporary assignment and will pay between : $20 - $21 per hour based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll for employees
Ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
Maintain payroll records and files
Handle payroll discrepancies and resolve issues in a timely manner
Support with payroll-related inquiries from employees
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Assist with the preparation of payroll reports as needed
Perform other administrative tasks as required by the payroll department
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a payroll assistant or in a similar role
Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
