Hardware FPGA Engineer

Job Description

This role will be required to work onsite in our Pittsburgh, PA office. We are offering a relocation package for those who are willing to relocate to the Pittsburgh, PA area. We are not offering sponsorship for this position.

We are seeking a talented Hardware/FPGA Engineer to join our growing team in Pittsburgh, PA. In this role, you will play a key role in the design, development, and implementation of complex hardware systems using FPGAs. You will collaborate closely with engineers across disciplines to bring innovative products from concept to reality.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop digital circuits using Hardware Description Languages (HDLs) such as VHDL
• Implement and integrate FPGA designs into hardware systems
• Participate in PCB design and layout using tools like Altium Designer
• Perform signal integrity analysis and ensure proper functionality on Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs)
• Conduct comprehensive design verification and validation using simulations and testing techniques
• Stay up-to-date on the latest FPGA technologies and development tools
• Contribute to the development of technical documentation
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in hardware design and development
• Proven experience with FPGAs, including design, implementation, and testing
• Strong understanding of digital logic design principles
• Proficiency in VHDL and familiarity with other HDLs (Verilog) a plus
• Experience with PCB design tools like Altium Designer preferred
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, and signal integrity analysis highly desirable
• Experience with sensors, lidar, or radar systems a plus
