Front of House Barista + Bartender

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Prepare drinks for customers accurately and quickly
  • Prepare simple food orders
  • Perform routine inventory recordings
  • Understand the POS system and how to ring in customer orders
  • Run food and drinks to customers when it is ready
  • Bus tables of all dirty dishes, clean tables with sanitizer, and wash dishes for further use via 3-step method
  • Keep work area, stock, equipment, and tools clean and in order
  • Communicate efficiently with customers and other coworkers
  • Lift 50lb
  • Take out trash as needed
  • Complete Opening, Idle, and Closing Checklists as required
  • Acquire ABC Server Permit within 60 days of hire date

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ and willing to acquire a permit to serve alcohol
  • Experience in the service industry is required, barista preferred
  • Experience with social media outlets including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok would be very helpful. We encourage our staff to post on our accounts if they are so inclined so long as they have experience doing so for a business.

Preferred Experience

  • Mixed alcoholic beverages and tools
  • Operation and cleaning Kegerator
  • Operation and cleaning Espresso Machine
  • ABC Server Permit in-hand
  • Familiar with "2S/5S"

Beginners and experts alike are welcome to join us for casual games as well as serious matches. Our state-of-the art tournament hall hosts events on weekends and weekday evenings. Boards, pieces, and all other equipment are provided, and members can always find a friendly game and historic inspiration in our beautiful cafe and mezzanine.
