About Us
We are a leading management consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., dedicated to helping public sector and non-profit clients achieve operational excellence, deliver better outcomes, and reduce costs. Our personalized approach to strategic consulting addresses our clients' most complex challenges and transforms their organizations, enabling them to better fulfill their public and social missions.
Our Culture
Join a tight-knit community of brilliant and passionate colleagues in an award-winning environment. We advocate for a better-functioning public sector and foster a culture of camaraderie, where everyone knows each other's names (and their dogs' names too!). Our philosophy is horizontal, not hierarchical, with an open-door policy that encourages entrepreneurship at all levels. We celebrate successes together, make collaborative decisions, and create an environment where those with passion and initiative can lead. Our team members bring their unique personalities to work every day, shaping our growing firm in ways that extend beyond client projects.
The Position
We are seeking passionate, driven candidates to assist our finance team with Accounting, Finance, Project Control, and Operations initiatives as we grow. You will play an important role from day one, supporting various finance processes including timesheet and expense reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project reporting. Each day is dynamic, offering exciting and challenging experiences. Key responsibilities include:
Developing knowledge of and enforcing Time & Expense policies, reviewing timesheets for compliance, and processing employee expense reports.
Organizing and processing accounts receivable by creating invoices for customers through multiple systems.
Assisting the finance team with additional transactions and accounting functions to support daily operations.
Managing and organizing incoming accounts payable requests, tracking and recording payments, and communicating with vendors.
The Ideal Candidate
We seek unique candidates whose passion and enthusiasm will shape our client insights and workplace culture. Our team has diverse backgrounds, areas of expertise, and personality types. Our success is rooted in innovation, creative problem-solving, and collaboration. We value your unique perspective and problem-solving approach more than what's on your diploma. A successful candidate will have:
A BA/BS degree with a strong academic background
1-2 years of experience in Accounting, AP, or AR roles
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
(Preferred) Experience using Unanet for Time and Expense tracking and project management
Intermediate Excel skills with a desire to develop further
Ability to work effectively on projects with demanding deadlines in a team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to share and synthesize knowledge
Initiative and ownership over project work and professional growth
Solution-oriented mindset for both self and team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Interest in working with public sector clients

We offer a hybrid work setting with the flexibility to work from home and our conveniently located downtown office, just a few blocks from the White House.
