What We Are Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of: a) general building maintenance; b) carpentry; c) electrical; d) mechanical; e) painting; or f) plastering experience.
A journeyman's license/card in any of the above trades will substitute for this experience.
Your job is to keep things moving! You'll spend your time keeping up the building and machines, mastering odd-jobs, and partnering with a skilled team of trades-workers and physical plant staff. Everyday is something new, good luck getting bored!

Operation of buffers, cleaners, and shampooers
Minor repairs and general maintenance of a facility

Working in a minimum and medium custody adult correctional facility including daily contact with adults in custody (AIC). Working with equipment, cleaning solutions, and tools.

Requirements For Employment
You must be able to pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following convictions are likely to result in being disqualified for this position: felony convictions, computer theft, identify theft and fraud. CJIS clearance is done at the conditional job offer.

The salary range listed above is for non-PERS qualifying applicants. PERS qualifying applicants may be eligible for an adjusted range. The State of Oregon provides a generous benefit package, which includes family health and dental insurance, optional short and long-term disability, and term life insurance – all of which can be tailored to individual needs. Also provided are fully paid retirement program, modest life insurance policy, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave.
