To continue this mission, we’re looking for a Chief Financial Officer to champion working with the organization’s leadership team to develop and execute accounting and finance strategies, risk management, policies, and operating procedures to enable the company to meet its objectives.

The CFO will report to our CEO/President and complement our Executive Team, which consists of our Chief Operations Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President, and the CEO/President.

This position is in-person and will be based out of the Eau Claire, Wisconsin office location.

The first round of interviews for the selected candidates will be held the week of August 5th in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

Opportunities You’ll Have

  • Be an owner of the company.
  • Be a member of a four-person executive team setting the vision and direction of the corporation.
  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to meet corporate financial objectives.
  • Oversee and mentor the Controller and an 11-person accounting team.
  • Evaluate financial opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancements.
  • Strategize with our Operations Vice Presidents to identify growth opportunities in existing markets or enter new service lines.
  • Be responsible for audits and annual corporate valuation as well as business insurance.
  • Be responsible for the banking relationships.
  • Be responsible for managing and exploring tax strategies and compliance.
  • Assess financials for potential acquisition targets.
  • Act as an Ayres ambassador in the business and professional communities.

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or business.
  • A minimum of 15 years in accounting or finance fields with experience in:
    • Leading a business financial group as a controller or CFO.
    • Maintaining current understanding and compliance with financial regulations and guidelines.
    • Developing and implementing training/mentoring programs focused on improving financial outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis to achieve corporate goals and foster strong connections with staff across the organization.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • CPA
