Description
Organizes curriculum revision projects and develops, disseminates, and/or implements instructional programs and materials for general or special student populations; plans, implements, and continuously improves the College Success Program which provides support to traditionally underrepresented populations, ensuring equitable outcomes for all students; serves as a resource for the region, school, and departmental staff.
Qualifications
Required
Master's degree.
Five (5) years of progressively more responsible successful teaching experience related to specialty, some of which may have been in a supervisory or administrative role (such as, head teacher, department chair, etc.).
Advanced degree(s) beyond the minimum degree requirement in a relevant field may be considered for some experience.
Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
Knowledge of PreK-12 curriculum framework, instructional theory, procedures, and practices in field of specialization.
Knowledge of culturally relevant teaching strategies and inventions with a focus on equity and supporting students from populations underrepresented in college.
Knowledge of growth and development and learning theory in specialty.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, legislation, and regulations related to public education.
Proficiency in technology to include virtual learning platforms.
Skill in assessment and evaluation of students with special needs or in special programs.
Skill in teaching adult learners.
Ability to manage curriculum development, in-service training, and related activities and provide a high level of instructional leadership for teachers and administrators.
Excellent human relations skills and effective collaborator with the ability to establish and maintain a successful cooperative working relationship with appropriate school communities, and school-based and central office staff.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
Endorsement in administration and supervision PreK-12.
