What You'll Do
The Trade Desk Edge Academy is seeking a knowledgeable Editor to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned writer and editor with excellent research and reporting skills and a passion for the advertising technology industry. In this exciting and impactful role, you will guide the development of our team's core product—educational course content.
You will be responsible for writing and developing high-quality, engaging, insightful and informative online courses on topics related to digital and programmatic advertising and as a result, will require a deep understanding of current industry topics and market dynamics.
Key Responsibilities In Course Development
Design, author, and update online course content on concepts related to digital and programmatic advertising, covering beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels
Stay up to date with the latest trends, topics, and best practices in programmatic advertising to identify gaps in existing content and recommend new courses
Maintain quality standards for thought leadership within the team and drive continuous improvements in research and writing to ensure The Edge Academy remains timely and best-in-class
Create detailed course outlines, lesson plans, and learning objectives
Develop multimedia content, including video scripts, written course content, quizzes, and assignments
Collaborate closely with internal and external subject matter experts/stakeholders to ensure consistent quality, accuracy, focus, and on-time performance
Adopt and adhere to The Trade Desk Edge Academy's defined voice and tone
Leverage your network of industry experts, as well as industry knowledge to research and develop content that is timely and informed
Who You Are
6-10 years of recent experience in writing and editing content within the advertising technology industry
Confident writer with excellent judgment and a strong track record of conveying complex technological concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner
Ability to leverage multiple sources to get up to speed on new concepts quickly
Strong research skills and attention to detail
Strong collaborator, team player, and listener
Effective time management skills - ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in educational content creation or instructional design.
Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools, LMS platforms, multimedia production software and online course delivery.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is$69,900—$128,200 USD
