Purpose of Role:

Under the direction of the VP Finance and IT, the Division Controller is responsible for leading ESCO Division’s global financial control activities. This includes owning and leading ESCO’s closing processes, audits, financial master data, regulatory reporting, financial policies and due-diligence for mergers and acquisitions.

Divisional Controller will be experienced in all aspects of financial leadership and partner with other finance and operational functions on standardization and process improvement initiatives.

This is a key leadership position within the ESCO Division.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Close and Compliance Leadership: Lead month-end, half-year, and year-end close processes with precision and efficiency, meeting established deadlines. Oversee external and internal audits, ensuring timely completion and addressing identified issues promptly. Ensure regulatory reporting compliance within defined timelines.

Financial Governance and Policy Implementation: Own and manage financial master data, ensuring accuracy and integrity. Implement corporate and ESCO financial policies, driving adherence and alignment with IFRS standards.

Financial Systems Management and Integration: Define and deliver solutions for financial system changes, collaborating with IT and cross-functional teams. Play a pivotal role in due diligence and integration efforts for mergers and acquisitions.

Stakeholder Management and Process Optimization: Manage and influence indirect reports, fostering collaboration and efficiency. Partner with finance and operational teams to standardize processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

  • Must be a CPA or equivalent with 10+ years’ experience in a global organization; public company experience preferred.
  • Experience converting financial systems preferred.
  • Experience with SOX preferred.
  • Experience in leading senior leaders both directly and through influence.
  • Financial reporting and management in a complex business environment including multiple entities/regions/business units, financial consolidations, and foreign currency reporting.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and comfortable presenting and communicating key financial information to senior executives and C-suite.
  • Experience preferred with financial transformation efforts including operated in a shared services offshore environment., establishing a finance business partner organization and development of digital capabilities in finance (example: BI reporting, RPA, predictive analytics, data analytics, AI)
  • International treasury experience including currency hedging strategies, cash repatriation and currency exposure management.
