Job Title: Division Controller

Location: Detroit, MI

Salary Range: $70,000 - $100,000

My client is a family owned company who have been in business for over 100 years. As a top provider of aggerates, steel, asphalt and more, we have become one of the nationals leaders in environmental service. We are looking for a skilled accounting professional in the Detroit area to provide reporting and analysis for divisional operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle ERP, if that sounds like you, lets connect!

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop accounting systems and records.
• Manage year end closing for multiple entities.
• Develop & evaluate budgets with operations team.
• Review financial data including objectives and goals.
• Ensure monthly billing of all revenue generating events.
• Create and maintain internal controls in accordance to GAAP.
• Perform audits when necessary to ensure processes are functioning as intended.
• Manage reconciliations of balance sheets.
• Other tasks may be assigned as necessary.
  
  

Skills Required

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance.
• 3+ years of accounting experience as senior accountant or higher.
• Understanding of GAAP and ERP (Oracle preferred)
• Excellent computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite
• Proven experience with reporting, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
• Experience with Hyperion reporting is desirable
