The Director of Warehouse Operations will be responsible for overseeing and enhancing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse facilities. This includes managing the entire warehouse team, implementing efficient processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet and exceed organizational goals.

Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for warehouse operations to align with overall business objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the warehouse team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Optimize warehouse processes to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Implement best practices in inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping to enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Analyzes operational KPI's to ensure accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, proper material handling, and minimal damage
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performance warehouse team.
- Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback to drive individual and team growth.
- Develops and drives culture of accountability through daily assessments and operational evaluation.
- Support succession planning, team building, and engagement activities
- Oversees the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the hiring and retention initiatives related to the assigned teams
- Identify and implement advanced technologies and systems to enhance warehouse operations, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and automated solutions.
- Ensures optimal effectiveness and production through effective use of inventory software specifically warehouse management, inventory procurement and management, labor control, and distribution logistics.
- Develop and manage the warehouse budget, identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining high service levels.
- Assists in the development and implementation of productivity standards and goals in support of the annual operating plan.
- Implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality or safety.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards in handling and storing goods.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment for all warehouse staff.
- Drive Safety First culture by ensuring monthly Regulatory and Safety in Motion training is completed by all employees and with 100% compliance
- Other Duties as assigned
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated senior leadership with strategic, policy, and budget planning experience.
- Five years' experience with distribution/logistics systems preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully optimizing warehouse processes and improving operational efficiency.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems and proficiency in leveraging technology to drive operational excellence.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
