JOB SUMMARY:

As the Sales Director for GrowMail, you will have the exceptional opportunity to shape and expand two innovative software platforms within one of Marketing.com’s fastest-growing ventures. You will spearhead the effort to establish GrowMail and Direct Mail Manager as the preferred direct mail platforms, empowering new customers to launch postcard marketing campaigns as seamlessly as sending an email. This role demands a visionary sales leader with passion, perseverance, and creativity.

This pivotal position is suited for someone who has successfully scaled a sales organization, is enthusiastic about direct mail software, and thrives on reducing the cost of customer acquisition. Ideal candidates will maintain a comprehensive view of the big picture while continually refining GrowMail and Direct Mail Manager’s go-to-market strategies and processes to attract new customers and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As Sales Director, you will lead the growth and strategic vision of GrowMail's sales organization, including brand positioning in the market, team structure, and exceeding sales and revenue targets. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing sales, marketing, and customer experience, and developing a deep understanding of the direct mail market. You will guide a growing team that includes lead qualifiers, sales coordinators, account executives, Direct Mail Manager specialists, and work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment and synergy.

This role combines creativity with leadership and execution, requiring high emotional intelligence to lead a dynamic business and inspire a dedicated sales team. You will foster a high-performance sales organization and execute our growth strategy, identifying key opportunities, helping achieve sales targets, and accelerating company growth in core markets. Additionally, you will become an expert on GrowMail's product and the direct mail industry and build a team of high-performing sellers to further our mission.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • [40%] Sales Leadership: Develop and scale our sales and account management muscle, so that we can continue expanding, while helping the marketers we serve grow with us.
  • [20%] Customer Success: Lead with customer obsession to ensure onboarding new clients is done seamlessly; Ensure the systems and processes are in place to mail direct mail campaigns faster and for less than any other provider on the internet.
  • [15%] Demand Generation: Set the mission and strategy with the marketing team and oversee the results-driven execution; Initiate creative marketing strategies and user growth campaigns. Excel in outbound communication to build and maintain a robust, continuous sales pipeline.
  • [10%] Key Accounts: Strategize and oversee the sales process for high-priority prospects from the pitch to onboarding; Take an active and personal role in developing and sustaining long-term relationships with customers, including C-level executives.
  • [10%] Business Development & Partnerships: Collaborate effectively with teams to identify, qualify, and secure new deals with current strategic partners.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred).
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, a combination of experience and education will be considered.


Experience:

  • Proven track record of building sales processes and high performing sales teams.
  • Experience staying nimble by managing corporate stakeholders and functioning within a large matrixed organization.
  • Operational and analytical skills with experience developing strategic initiatives, negotiating complex trade-offs and driving execution
  • Data-driven decision mentality and sound business judgment; Must understand what drives value for each group in our marketplace and can make sensible commercial decisions to reflect this.
  • Effective project management - experience delivering on a multifaceted projects with many stakeholders
  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to make smart partnerships and deals happen, from negotiation to execution
  • Experience leading a team, with willingness to invest in the coaching and development of your team members
