Job Summary:


The Director of Sales and Business Development plays a pivotal role in driving top-line revenue growth across all current and future market segments (to include multi-family apartment, condominiums, and office). This strategic leader is responsible for managing a team of business development representatives and sales estimators, ensuring the achievement of revenue targets, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


Job Duties:


Revenue Generation:

  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue goals from both apartment and condominium segments.
  • Lead the sales team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and maximizing sales potential

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of business development representatives and sales estimators.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual and team targets, and provide ongoing coaching and training to ensure the team's success

Business Development:

  • Personally engage in high-level business development activities, including building and nurturing relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and pursue strategic partnerships that contribute to the overall growth and success of the company

Performance Measurement:

  • Implement and maintain a comprehensive tracking system for sales performance, ensuring accurate and up-to-date reporting.
  • Utilize spreadsheet and various software tools to analyze and communicate key performance metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making

Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align business development strategies with overall company objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and results-oriented culture within the sales and business development team


Job Requirements:


  • Proven track record of success in sales leadership and business development, ideally within the HVAC, mechanical or construction industry
  • Multifamily (apartment/condo) experience is highly preferred - ability to bring loyal customers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated skill to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Proficient using spreadsheet software and other relevant tools for performance tracking and reporting
  • Sales driven and focused individual with a keen understanding of the sales process, proper quoting techniques and forecasting
  • Understanding of mechanical or HVAC systems or has worked for a trades based company
