Flex is building a finance super app for business owners — reimagining every single aspect of the financial workflow and financial services for any entrepreneur. The company has grown revenue 25x+ since publicly launching in September 2023 and is on track to achieve profitability by early 2025. Flex is focused on mid-market businesses ($3 - $100M revenue) that are largely overlooked by existing fintech solutions and reliant on slow and outdated regional banks. We are targeting a :$1T revenue opportunity that is largely up for grabs.

Flex is a fully remote company and this role can be performed from anywhere.

🕺 About the Role

Flex is seeking a strong Director of Product Marketing to develop product positioning and become a key stakeholder in driving GTM-growth across revenue channels. The ideal candidate works closely with the product organization to drive alignment on product roadmap decisions that translate back into Marketing growth. This role will focus on both the Flex Corporate Brand (B2B) as well as a stealth (B2C) product launching in Q4 2024. Overall, this role will establish research-driven, user-tested, product-led marketing channels and content to scale our website, campaigns, launches, press-releases and more within our high-growth team at Flex.

✅ What You’ll Do

Strategic Product Alignment & Strategy: Develop and execute a clear and strategic product marketing strategy that drives brand-awareness, revenue metrics, sales enablement, and overall customer satisfaction and growth.

Develop Flex Personas: Research, iterate and align on who the ideal Flex customer profile is, including developing personas, guidelines and training around speaking to the correct Flex audience.

Product Launch and Messaging: Collaborate on product launch initiatives, including crafting compelling messaging, strategy, and providing essential resources to best-support our sales team and partners.

Building Brand Through Content: Drive the narrative of our brand through innovative content initiatives to attract and engage through various channels like site-mapping and website copy, content, organic, paid, direct, email, press and referral streams.

Media and PR Guidance: Offer expert advice on public relations initiatives including positioning Flex as a thought leader in the industry.

Be a Key Voice of Marketing Leadership: In-time, hire and establish the Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, and Copywriting teams, including freelance, contract, and full-time talent amongst a high-performing team.

Setup Strong Organizational Foundations: Using tools such as Asana, and other organizational tools, to establish project management systems, while prioritizing efficiency, scale, and internal communications.

Goal-Setting: Communicate expectations cross-functionally to deliver on budget, timeline, and short & long-term goals. Ensuring reporting is at the core of all things marketing.

⚡️ What You Bring

  • Minimum of 5 years managing a full-scale Product Marketing function within high-growth B2B FinTech, Financial or a similar space with multiple different product lines
  • Management expert with an excellent record of leading high-performing teams with polished communication across all levels of the business
  • Experience delivering strategic research-driven strategy and product-insights across all lanes such as: website, campaigns, content, events, organic, paid, affiliate, and beyond
  • Ability to set attainable yet ambitious targets, routinely assessing productivity/progress, and making real-time adjustments
  • Experience collaborating and sharing feedback with brand designers on multiple types of assets, including written content, design work and writing video scripts all while being comfortable speaking about creative brand impact
  • The hunger and desire to build again. No matter how senior, you’re eager to get your hands dirty, tackle a new challenge, and make an impact
  • The agile mindset that drives testing and research that fosters success at a Series A startup
  • Excellent copywriting, grammatical and communication skills
  • Highly-technical and comfortable utilizing and implementing modern tools to help the team operate more efficiently, and reach new levels of product marketing impact
