Director of Manufacturing Excellence

The Director of Manufacturing Excellence will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to streamline operations, optimize processes, and enhance overall efficiency within the company. This role will focus on driving a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence throughout Manufacturing and managing Six Sigma efforts and training across the company.

This position reports to the Senior Vice President of Strategic Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive manufacturing excellence strategy in alignment with the company's goals, objectives and Arclin’s Model Plant for Manufacturing Standard.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement, assess operational performance, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and cost savings.
  • Utilize Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to analyze processes, eliminate waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational performance and track progress towards operational excellence goals.
  • Collaborate with department heads and senior leadership to promote a culture of continuous improvement and drive operational excellence initiatives.
  • Provide training and support to employees at all levels on operational excellence concepts and methodologies.
  • Regularly communicate progress, successes, and opportunities for improvement to the executive team and key stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a robust Six Sigma program that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and goals.
  • Lead and mentor Six Sigma Black Belts and Green Belts to drive improvement projects and deliver measurable results.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, conduct data analysis, and implement solutions to drive efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scopes, set objectives, and track progress against key performance indicators.
  • Ensure that Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and best practices are effectively applied across the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of Six Sigma projects on operational performance, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on the status of Six Sigma initiatives, successes, areas for further improvement and overall savings generated from Six Sigma Program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma with a demonstrated track record of leading successful Six Sigma project.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence initiatives and process improvements in a complex organizational environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify opportunities for optimization and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced and dynamic organization.
  • Ability to Travel 30% - 60%
