Augusta University is seeking a technologically adept, data-driven, innovative leader with a history of success in graduate admissions to lead graduate enrollment processes for more than sixty graduate and graduate certificate programs. The Director of Graduate Admissions reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, works strategically with graduate programs to create clear and concise processes that ultimately fulfill the university's growing graduate student enrollment goals for both in-person and online programs. Responsibilities include managing and providing training on policies and system processes, ensuring necessary compliance in admission policies, developing a varied and talented staff, and providing leadership in data-management and program growth planning.

Responsibilities

Duties Include but are not limited to:

Manage the Graduate Application for Admission Process: Direct the Office of Graduate Admissions Operations day to day processing and administrative management, in which decisions and quality of execution have significant impact on internal and external relations. Develop graduate admissions systems and processes that leverage data and technology to create optimal efficiency for admissions workflows, processes, and customer service for students and graduate program directors. Coordinate the development of the customer relationship management (CRM), currently Slate. Implement quality control measures and oversight of the processes in admissions. Establish and monitor set procedures for each component of the admissions process.Coordinate database updates, which include but are not limited to, communication plan updates, filter coordination, exports (internal and external), and application updates as well pertinent updates to processing systems. (i.e. terms of entry, funnel reporting, programs). Maintain knowledge of best practices, new developments, and innovations in the admissions process for graduate admission business process modeling. Continually assess current systems and process analysis for improvement to reduce barriers to graduate student enrollment. Leverage the CRM to provide consistent, timely communication to student applicants that takes into account the nuances of the different graduate programs.

Maintain a thorough understanding to implement admissions policies: Understand the complexity of admissions for multiple graduate programs; Maintain and stay abreast of trends in academic programs requirements. Recommend, implement, and interpret internal rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels; Develop and implement responsive service programs. implement University System of Georgia and Augusta University policies, including residency, lawful presence, criminal background check, rights to privacy, etc. Serves as a key Enrollment Management leader for many University departments, coordinating policies and processes that impact graduate applicants. Responsible for development, interpretation and consistent dissemination of admissions policy advice, operational information data and guidance to applicants, faculty, graduate program directors, administrators and the public. Create and continually update graduate admission procedures manuals. Direct the audit review process to ensure program compliance with federal and institutional regulations.

Lead and supervise the Office of Graduate Admissions Operations: Create an office environment that develops and invests in team members to enhance employee retention. Responsible for effective staff management, including hiring and orientation, training and development, workflow and performance management, and the promotion of an innovative work environment for one Student Services Coordinator, two Student Service Specialists, and student assistants. Identifies and implements appropriate professional development opportunities for staff, including cross-training. Develop and manage the department's operational budget to align resources with strategic enrollment goals; Provides annual revenue projection updates for application fees.

Provide leadership for strategic planning: Lead department enrollment goal-setting, planning, and process development, and achieve established goals. Actively develop long-term plans to manage the increased applications for graduate admission through leveraging technology to provide a customer service experience for students. Supervise the collection and organization of accurate data regarding the new student enrollment process for graduate students. Develop admissions reports and interpret data to inform decision-making; Analyze data and trends to refine procedures, policies, and practice. Provide necessary data for the academic colleges and program directors to aid in the decision process; Communicate relevant enrollment updates to the deans in a clear and concise way.Actively participate on the Enrollment Management Leadership team and on appropriate Augusta University task forces, committees, etc.

Build Collaborative Relationships with Campus Partners: Create and maintain strong collaborative relationships with academic deans, program directors, The Graduate School, and enrollment management colleagues. Implement standard, consistent, and timely communication methods with all stakeholders. Manage steering groups, task forces, etc. to develop solutions to business process and customer service challenges. Partner with campus stakeholders to receive and deliver training/updates regularly. Lead the Graduate Admissions Operations team in regular meetings and collaborative conversations with the academic colleges, faculty, and team members. Serve on various university, division, and departmental committees; represent the department at various state and national associations.

Other Duties: All other duties/tasks as assigned by the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university with a minimum of three years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in graduate recruitment or admissions, with progressive levels of responsibility, advanced knowledge of admissions principles and financial aid processes. Prior experience working with international populations.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

KNOWLEDGE

Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.

Prior experience working with international populations.

Strong working knowledge of Slate or similar CRM and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Demonstrated experience in graduate recruitment or admissions, with progressive levels of responsibility and advanced knowledge of admissions principles and financial aid processes.

Skills

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with enterprise data bases (Banner), document management software (Xtender), Microsoft Office Suite, and other technology essential for communication, record keeping, and data management.

Experience using data analytics and predictive modeling to enhance enrollment strategies.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to problem-solve and think critically.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally, both verbally and in writing, including the ability to facilitate presentations to various groups

Experience training and supervising staff members on issues related to admission; ability to verify that systems in place are operating at maximum capacity

Record of accomplishment in leading well-rounded teams to meet and exceed strategic enrollment goals

Shift/Salary/Benefits

Shift: Days; Monday-Friday (work outside of normal business hours may be required)

Pay Band: B15

Salary: $82,800/ annually - $87,000/ annually

Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
