WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for a Design Lead, Brand Creative to join our APLA team! You are an exceptional team player, focused on creative excellence from concept through to execution and delivery. You will work with the Art Direction Lead and alongside Copywriters, Narrative Leads, Creative Directors, Producers, and Studio Managers. Our Design Leads ideate, concept, execute and oversee execution across several areas including graphic design, photography, video, illustration, animation, and spatial design. Versatile, eager to learn, and able to develop their skills, they contribute to delivering well-rounded design systems solutions across all appropriate channels. They have a passion for creativity and are committed to staying up to date with current and future trends and technology and to embrace culture to be able to creatively serve the needs of the territories on the APLA (Asia, Pacific and Latin America) region.

WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON?

  • Work with the Art Direction Lead and Full Studio team to develop concepts, ideas and campaign visual directions
  • Contribute to the vision and craft of the art direction. Uphold excellence, ambition, and team spirit
  • Contribute to best-in-class photography, video content, digital, and experience design in service of Nike Campaigns for multiple sports and lifestyle
  • Ability to partner closely with photographers, filmmakers, illustrators, designers, and their agents
  • Help craft art direction for photo & video shoots, ensuring our content is always on-brand, diverse, contemporary, desirable, and within agreed budgets
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends in fashion, design, film, art, media, and technology as relevant to Nike and the APLA region
  • Collaborate with styling, marketing, digital, retail, and production to meet brand vision and standards
  • Ensure all projects are well-planned, creatively exceptional, and delivered on-time
  • Review project work for highest standards of quality, consistency and success

WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH?

You will report to the Creative Lead and partner with teammates across the APLA, Global and Territory Creative Studios, Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Retail, and Media.

What You Bring To Nike

  • Minimum 5+ years graphic design and art direction experience in a branded content, agency, editorial or marketing environment
  • A passion for the Athlete*, Sport* and Culture. Deep interest into diverse cultural elements and ability to immerse yourself in the nuances of our multiple territories
  • Solid portfolio of creative work, exhibiting a seasoned background in both digital and print design
  • Great knowledge and expertise in all aspects of layout, typography, illustration, identity, digital production and publishing across various channels and platforms
  • Thorough understanding of today's media landscape and how people engage with content, with in-depth knowledge of social media, interactive communication, processes, and user-interface design for digital products
  • Ability to collaborate with and creatively manage freelance design talent
  • Ability to lead team efforts while also working independently to deliver on individual responsibilities
  • A solutions-oriented mentality with proven ability to flex and adapt to changing business needs while maintaining creative quality
  • Laser-sharp focus with ability to work quickly and efficiently under pressure
  • Strong time management with ability to toggle between daily and long-term tasks, keeping a high volume of workstreams moving forward simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills; adept at presenting and defending creative work
  • Strong interpersonal skills with dedication to foster cross-functional teamwork and an open, positive and collaborative environment
  • Highly developed curiosity and in-depth understanding of design culture, current and past
  • Astute attention to detail and meticulous organizational skills in service of your creative projects
  • Experience across Online and Offline environments
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with proactive approach to identifying and acting on ways to improve the work, continually pushing the vision of Nike Kids forward
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • A sense of humor and a positive spirit
