- Deal Sourcing Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive deal sourcing strategies to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain a robust network within the startup ecosystem, including entrepreneurs, incubators, accelerators, and industry experts.
- Opportunity Evaluation:
- Evaluate incoming investment opportunities based on strategic fit, market potential, technology differentiation, and scalability.
- Conduct initial screenings and assessments to prioritize deals for further evaluation by the investment team.
- Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including founders, co-investors, and industry influencers.
- Leverage existing networks and continuously expand contacts to stay informed about emerging trends and opportunities.
- Pipeline Management:
- Manage deal flow pipeline and CRM system to track and prioritize incoming opportunities.
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up with entrepreneurs and stakeholders throughout the deal sourcing process.
- Collaboration and Reporting:
- Collaborate closely with the investment team to provide regular updates on deal flow pipeline, trends, and insights.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and analysis on deal sourcing activities and market trends for senior management.
- Industry Research and Analysis:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market dynamics relevant to our investment focus areas.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify gaps and opportunities within the startup ecosystem.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree/MBA preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a similar role with a focus on deal sourcing and investment opportunities.
- Proven track record of sourcing and evaluating early-stage investment opportunities, preferably within technology-driven sectors.
- Strong network within the startup community, including entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, and industry influencers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships effectively.
- Strategic thinker with analytical capabilities and a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing investment opportunities.
