Deal Operations Manager

Synergy Interactive is partnering with a global media producer to fill a Deal Operations Manager position. This contract position is hybrid in Newark, NJ and will be responsible for managing contract setup and terminations for licensing and IP.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work closely with Legal, Business Affairs, Finance, and Metadata Teams as well as external partners to onboard new partners, enter terms in the contract database, update internal trackers, request upfront payments, and kick off contractually required next steps downstream.
• Ensure that existing processes are followed and develop and implement new processes where necessary.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on deal implementation.
• Drive implementation of new contracts and contract changes at the deal, payment, and title level across relevant systems and teams.
• Perform monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure changes are implemented consistently and correctly.
• Coordinate updates at the deal, payment, and title level across relevant systems and teams.
• Perform monthly and quarterly reviews to ensure changes are implemented consistently and correctly.
• Provide general support for the Deal & Production Operations Team, including data clean-up projects, ad hoc research, inquiry response, and trouble tickets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.A. or equivalent degree preferred
• Functional fluency in Outlook, Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
• Data entry experience, demonstrated high level of accuracy
• Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and work with a wide variety of people
• A confident and upbeat communicator with established written and verbal communication skills
• An avid reader and consumer of online media, including books, websites, blogs, and other digital content sources
• Experience in an entertainment, digital media or publishing field and/or experience with contracts/IP licensing
• Amazon experience and/or experience in an entertainment, digital media, or publishing field
• Experience with IP licensing and/or contracts
• Working knowledge of database concepts and best practices
