EDUCATION
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or other related field.
Our client will consider the equivalent work experience.
Required Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience with large and complex database management systems.
Three (3) five (5) years of technical leadership abilities in data architecture.
Works on multiple projects as a project leader or as the subject matter expert.
Coached and mentored more junior technical staff.
Experience with data architecture, large-scale data modeling, database design, and business requirements analysis.
Defines and plans database architectures for enterprise systems.
Works on projects/issues of high complexity that require in-depth knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments.
Ability to communicate technical documentation effectively to both technical and non-technical members of the team.
DBMS software, including SQL Server.
Machine learning, predictive modeling, and natural language processing.
Data mining and modeling tools.
Data management and reporting technologies, predictive analytics, data visualization and unstructured data.
Creative and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
Database and cloud computing design, architectures, and data lakes.
Responsibilities
Responsible for enterprise-wide data design, balancing optimization of data access with batch loading and resource utilization factors.
Knowledgeable in most aspects of designing and constructing data architectures, operational data stores, and data marts.
Control project from start to finish to ensure high quality, innovative and functional design.
Focuses on enterprise-wide data modeling and database design.
Defines data architecture standards, policies and procedures for the organization, structure, attributes, and nomenclature of data elements, and applies accepted data content standards to technology projects.
Responsible for business analysis, data acquisition and access analysis and design, Database Management Systems optimization, recovery strategy and load strategy design and implementation.
Collaborate with IT teams and management to devise a data strategy that addresses industry requirements.
Build an inventory of data needed to implement the architecture.
Identify and evaluate current data management technologies.
Create a fluid, end-to-end vision for how data flows through an organization.
Develop data models for database structures.
Design, document, construct and deploy database architectures and applications (e.g., large relational databases).
