, Job Description

Summary:

To provide technical support for the Repair, Customer Service, and Sales Departments by assisting with part quotes, repair, and troubleshooting of Avery Weigh-Tronix equipment. The Customer Service Technician is required to assist all Strategic Business Units in training and support of Avery Weigh-Tronix products.

What You Will Do

  • Offer pre and post-sales support for customer application assistance.
  • Assist customers on the telephone providing Eyecon customer service support.
  • Provide technical support, fielding questions on Eyecon products for the standard product and special setups as required by customer applications.
  • Coordinate research with engineering as needed to resolve customer problems, including coordination with the technical publication division, in developing and maintaining use and service manuals.

Essential Functions And Key Duties

  • Provide quotes on parts, repair and troubleshooting as required for internal departments and Avery Weigh-Tronix distribution.
  • Provide documentation per customer requests.
  • Interface with all business segments and Avery Weigh-Tronix departments in whatever capacity needed to keep Eyecon equipment operational.
  • Interface with manufacturing departments with results of field data captured to provide quality and timely improvements of Avery Weigh-Tronix products with the ability to change product design as needed.
  • Understand company policies and procedures, including the MRP system, to find and use needed information.
  • Install and support PC programs for integration with scales
  • Verification and review of new products as they are introduced. Review manual and assist in training work aids so a common end user has the ability to understand clearly what is needed to repair their product.
  • Meet the objectives outlined in the Safety Policy.

, Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Education and Experience:

  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of 2-year vocational or technical college or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge:

  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10 Operating Systems.
  • Basic scale knowledge
  • Basic understand of math calculations
  • Basic knowledge of USB, RS232, Ethernet and WIFI systems
  • Previous use of service management (ticketing) systems.

Skills:

  • Time management
