Hiring for Self-Contained Rooms Grades PK-Age 21
Direct-Hire Position
7:30 am to 3:00 pm or 8 am to 3:30 pm, M-F, following a 10-Month School Calendar
Responsibilities
Provide guidance and support to teaching staff, assistants and aides on the instruction of students with disabilities in academic subjects.
Develop and implement technology-based learning
Collaborate with teaching staff on the development and update of IEP goals and progress for students on assigned caseload.
Monitor credits and courses required for graduation for students; Support teaching staff in preparing assignments, grading assignments, and preparing reports.
In collaboration with administration, maintain all student transcripts, graduation analysis documents and progress reports.
Coordinate and communicate with other staff members in order to ensure consistent application of the academic and therapeutic program.
Qualifications
Current PEL (Professional Educator License) with LBS1 Endorsement
Curriculum & Instruction Endorsement on the PEL, preferred but not required
Extensive knowledge of IEP Writing and Process
Knowledge of Think Cerca, Myon, and/or MobyMax is ideal
Ability to coach and lead educational staff
A strong background in Special Education including but not limited to cognitive & LD, Autism, BD, ED and OHI
Experience in PBIS and trauma-informed programming is a plus
Excellent organization, time management, and follow-up skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively
Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills
Ability to multitask
