About The Role
This position’s responsibility is to improve the Quality Systems at the Magna Exteriors divisions through a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, coaching, mentoring, sharing of best practices and auditing. This is done in partnership with the Exteriors Operational Leadership, OPEX, Divisional GMs and their staff. The intent of this role is to add value for the divisions based on divisional and corporate business needs.
Your Responsibilities
Certified Auditor preferred (VDA, IATF, etc).

About The Role

Your Responsibilities
- Drive quality improvement and challenge the status quo.
- Enhance global standards to achieve improvement goals and world class results
- Co-responsible for systems deployment and compliance (MQS, IATF, VDA etc.) throughout all product groups and remote support sites.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical issues and share best practices.
- Understand the customer business (new programs, product transitions trends) to ensure customer satisfaction and improve quality metrics.
- Coach and mentor plants to achieve quality improvement objectives; support divisions in completion of Process Flow, Control Plan, PFMEA, Capability Studies, layouts, IMDS, Run at Rate and PPAP.
- Bachelor’s degree or adequate work experience in Mold/Paint/Assy in Exteriors required, Certified Auditor preferred (VDA, IATF, etc). Minimum ten (10) years’ work experience required in Manufacturing/Quality/Engineering and/or PM environment. Ideal candidate will have significant regional and global Leadership experience in either a Program Management, Manufacturing or Quality Role.
- High level of knowledge of Quality Systems and norms (ISO, IATF, VDA, OEM Standards.) Engineering, Program Management. Must be able to lead, teach and coach in both corporate and manufacturing environments.
- Strong leader and Team player with effective written and verbal communication skills who acts as a change agent, challenging the status quo.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills; i.e., 5 Why Analysis, 8 Discipline Approach, Shainin, Six Sigma, etc with solid understanding of assembly and machining processes, Proficient in data collection, analysis and presentation.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally, approximately 50-75 % of the time.
