The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is currently considering applicants for the position of Corporate Partners Manager. The Corporate Partners Manager reports to the Director of Board & Campaign Giving and is responsible for supporting the Rock Hall's strategic objectives by identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding corporate partners.

Job Responsibilities & Duties

Execute strategies to identify, cultivate, and solicit corporate prospects. Oversee ongoing stewardship activities. Align with Rock Hall’s strategic plan and organizational priorities.

  • Establish relationships to promote philanthropy and secure financial support.
  • Manages a portfolio of 75-100 corporate donors and prospects.
  • Actively cultivate and solicit annual gifts.
  • Identify meaningful stewardship and recognition opportunities. Build on enterprise-wide activities when possible.

Create and implement annual fundraising plan.

  • Develop overall plan.
  • Analyze data and incorporate segmentation tactics to increase effectiveness of outreach.
  • Build relationships with internal partners, working closely with the Vice President of Development, CEO, and other colleagues.
  • Working with the Director of Board & Campaign Giving, create ad-hoc group of board members who can assist with introductions, cultivation, and solicitation activities within their respective networks.

Execute fundraising plan; secure charitable support from corporations.

  • Solicit corporate donors, using individualized proposals and strategies for each.
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales and Rentals to build relationships with new corporate event hosts and potential donors.
  • Complete follow up activities after submitting proposals, including responding to additional questions.
  • Meet annual goals for program, capital, and unrestricted support.
  • Maintain detailed records of action steps related to the cultivation and stewardship of donors, including contact reports for all substantive interactions.

Other.

  • Arrange Museum experiences for corporate members and donors. Lead tours as needed.
  • Stay well informed about current and upcoming Rock Hall events, programs, and exhibits, and possess a strong organizational knowledge.
  • Stay current in the field of development and practices within the AFP Code of Ethics

Duties include but may not be limited to the above.  

Job Requirements And Qualifications

Education Level: Ability to read and demonstrate basic oral, written, mathematical, and manual skills. Ability to communicate in standard English. Bachelor’s Degree in related field required.

Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a development role at a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization or equivalent experience in a sales/sponsorship position.

Unique Expertise/Certification/Registrations

  • Demonstrated experience of having cultivated and expanded existing donor relationships over time.
  • Experience working in non-profit CRM and ticketing systems (Salesforce, Marketing Cloud experience is a plus) to ensure accurate information is maintained and reports generated on a regular basis.
  • Ability to gather, interpret, analyze, and report statistics and other data to inform the membership strategies, with a high degree of attention to detail in preparing reports and letters.
  • Experience in direct mail to generate prospects.
  • Flexible and adaptable style; ability to positively impact both strategic and tactical fundraising initiatives.
  • Ability to work both independently without close oversight, and a team player who will productively engage with others within and outside the Museum.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral; ability to influence and engage a wide range of donors and build long-term relationships.
  • High energy and passion for the Museum’s nonprofit mission.
  • Ability to articulate and implement annual strategic development plan.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • A professional and resourceful style; willingness to take initiative, manage multiple tasks and projects at a time, and learn.
  • Ability to see the big picture and consider the impact of decisions across the institution as a whole.
  • An effective facilitator with excellent persuasion and negotiation skills.
  • Understands implicitly how to manage and work with different people and various working styles across the organization.
  • Set a strong example for others by initiating collaboration and working consistently in a collegial manner.
  • Ability to work independently without close oversight, and as a team player who will engage productively with others at varying levels of seniority within and outside the organization.

Benefits And Compensation

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience, education, and certifications.

The Rock Hall offers a generous benefits package including 4 plan options for health insurance All other benefits are company paid including dental, vision, and life insurance. Other perks include 403b, and yearly paid time off including: 10 vacation days, 12 sick days, 3 personal days, 14 paid holidays, and 4 paid volunteer days.
