Oversee all accounting operations including A/R, A/P, and G/L, ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Monitor and report daily cash and funding balances
Prepare and publish monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements
Work with COO to prepare annual operating budgets and financial forecasts
Reconcile general ledger accounts, investment statements, and bank accounts
Prepare journal entries
Analyze accounting documents for accuracy
Prepare financial reports and analysis
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Oversee and maintain storage of tenant leases and renewals
Provide initial review of new Leases and Lease Renewals
Review monthly tenant billings
Maintain and reviews corporate insurance policies
Coordinate the preparation of annual tax return with an outside CPA firm
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, to include sales tax
Oversee and manage tenant collection efforts including property notices, phone calls, and eviction filings.
Handle all client communication in regards to accounting questions and problems

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 5+ years' experience related to Residential Property Management or Real Estate required
A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in an accounting management role is preferred
Must be highly proficient in computerized accounting systems, Excel, and Word
Extensive knowledge of accounting practices and principles
Knowledge of Propertyware software knowledge and skills
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Single-Family Property Management Experience is a plus
Real Estate Investment Knowledge/Interest
