Description
The Community Outreach Associate strategizes for continuous engagement of all residents in the catchment area on an informal basis to maintain connections, encourage success and create a strong program presence.
Responsibilities:
Conducts outreach to community partner organizations
Participates in community outreach initiatives such as hiring events, career fairs and tabling events
Promotes Center services within the community
Provides marketing support to promote Center services in the community
Conducts outreach to customers for the purpose of driving Center traffic
Ensures timely response to jobseeker inquiries
Ensures that high customer service standards are maintained during all jobseeker interactions
Gathers jobseeker feedback via surveys
Accurately updates all customer records, maintaining accurate customer files
Hosts and facilitates job recruitment events in a virtual and in-person setting
Hosts and provides administrative support for Center events
Works in collaboration with the Career Services team to ensure proper data entry of business services activities
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Possess strong organizational and written/oral communications skills
Knowledge of jobseeker sourcing and marketing platforms
Excellent data entry skills
Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
Comfortable with common office machines such as photocopier and fax
Work as a team player
Effectively handle multiple tasks
Detail-oriented in communication and follow-through
Work well in a fast-paced and performance-based environment
Possess a responsive communication style
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong networking ability
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Results-oriented and goal-driven is a MUST for success in this position
Bi-lingual (any language) a plus
Salary Range: $47 000 Annually
