Summary
The Commercial Escrow Closer coordinates and manages escrow closings for mostly residential transactions including refinance and foreclosures and will include some small commercial translations.
The Escrow Closer coordinates and manages escrow closings for both local Wisconsin commercial transactions and national commercial business.
Responsibilities
Provide outstanding customer service Input title and escrow information into title production software Calculate payoff amounts and taxes Compare escrow instructions to title requirements Communicate with underwriting staff to confirm closing requirements Ensure that all terms of escrow have been satisfied Confirm recordability of documents (e.g. proper signatures, notarizations, etc.) Record documents at closing and follow up on recorded documents Accept deposits for earnest money and invest depositor funds as instructed Prepare balance sheets, transfer funds, and communicate with Accounting
Qualifications
3+ years of real estate closing experience Experience at a law firm, lending institution, title insurance or real estate company Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal Meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, etc.
