Groundskeeper

Schedule: 40-hour workweek; Mon-Fri

Hourly Pay: $19-23/hour

General Statement Of Duties And Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform all groundskeeping and landscaping tasks necessary to maintain the zoo grounds and animal exhibits to the standards of the Wildlife Conservation Society.

Typical Tasks

General landscape maintenance of the zoo property, pruning, mowing, watering, weeding, planting and other related duties. Must be flexible rotating working at the 3 city zoos and occasionally at the New York aquarium.

Qualification Requirements

Garden experience is required. Must be able to lift 60 pounds or more. Must be willing to work in all types of inclement weather is required. Must know basic English for communication.
