CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER

SUMMARY

I'm currently partnered with a dynamic East Coast biotech, developing next-generation RNA therapeutics, with an innovative technology that can be used on multiple disease areas.

Subsequent to their funding, the biotech will look for a hands-on industry leader to provide scientific vision, leadership and strategy to the company, alongside management to the R&D team. The CSO, working closely with the CEO, will be a key member of the Executive Management Team, and will communicate the scientific vision and strategy to key stakeholders. In addition, this individual will be responsible for developing and executing the research strategies in order to build a robust and proprietary discovery pipeline, with the goal to deliver multiple product opportunities to address various disease areas.

LOCATION: This person would need to have a presence in the East Coast USA (Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New York or New Jersey ideal).

SKILLS:

• PhD, 15 years discovery experience within Pharma or Biotech
• RNA expertise, with previous exposure to challenges within the RNA / mRNA space
• Dynamic, hands-on personality, someone that is passionate and proactive
• Proven track record in successfully building and leading R&D teams / cross-functional leadership
• Strong background in drug development, successfully taking assets from exploratory phases into clinical development
• Excellent communication skills in conveying the science, liaising with investors & stakeholders
