TThe Business Development Specialist will lead marketing activities for entertainment content, centered on anime and manga, entrusted by clients in North America and around the world. Additionally, they will drive overall company sales through acquiring new projects and developing new services. While working closely with various stakeholders such as internal service departments, the Japanese headquarters, clients, partner companies, and others, you will drive the company's growth and oversee general communications for marketing activities requiring international collaboration.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
Client Proposal:
Work closely with clients to understand their needs and goals and develop customized solutions to meet those needs
Lead and cooperate with internal groups in preparing and conducting the company's service proposal to clients
Service Development & Improvement:
Cooperate with the internal groups to improve 33 USA's Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, Creative, and Marketing Support services
Ensure all services comply with copyright holder guidelines and legal requirements
Client Relations:
Provide ongoing support and guidance to clients throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and goals and develop customized solutions to meet those needs
Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss new opportunities and address any concerns
Reporting & Budgeting:
Prepare regular reports on division activities, including revenue forecasts, budget performance, and progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), to be presented to senior management and stakeholders
Team Leadership:
Manage the day-to-day activities of the Business Development & Licensing Division, collaborating with team members on day-to-day operations and coaching as necessary
Sets key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members, coaching and following up to confirm progress against these
Foster a positive team culture, ensuring that team members are engaged, motivated, and aligned with the company's values and objectives
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required:
3+ years of relevant marketing/business development experience
Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications or related field
Native or bilingual proficiency in both Japanese and English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
Experience in marketing/promotions for entertainment content (anime, manga, games, etc.)
Strong project management and organizational abilities
Ability to work cross-functionally with multiple stakeholders
Client-facing skills with ability to develop relationships
Problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
Experience working in both Japanese and North American business environments
Understanding of licensing and content distribution models
Skills in digital/social media marketing and analytics
Background or interest in anime/manga subculture
Experience coordinating international/remote teams
Understanding of North American entertainment market
Project management certification
