Your Opportunity

The Senior Associate / Vice President will act as a thought partner with the Head of Business Development to drive all capital formation and investor relations activities for the firm, including raising capital for additional fund vehicles and building relationships with existing and prospective investors. Successful experience raising capital / interfacing with pensions, endowments, and foundations, a positive “can do” attitude, proactiveness, strong communication skills (both written and verbal), and attention to detail are required.


Primary Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Assist in the development and execution of the firm’s fundraising strategy for both equity and credit investment vehicles, including assessing the overall investor universe and identifying prospective targets, and researching new sources of capital
  • Independently source and establish long-term relationships with prospective investors, ultimately resulting in new limited partner commitments
  • Lead virtual and in-person meetings with investors across pre-determined investor channels and geographic regions
  • Create investor marketing materials, including slide presentations, case studies, tear sheets, and ad hoc requests (e.g. co-investment overviews)
  • Manage fundraising-related due diligence activities, including updating due diligence questionnaires, building and maintaining online data rooms, and responding to requests from prospective investors
  • Collaborate with Business Development team on weekly fundraising dashboard for Ohana partnership group, which includes reporting on recent and upcoming meeting activity, recent data room activity, any key outstanding items, and capital raised vs. fundraising targets
  • Manage the coordination of investor events as well as marketing roadshows to meet and engage with prospective and existing investors
  • Work with the ESG Committee and Asset Management team to execute upon the Responsibly Ohana ESG policy


Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of experience raising capital from or engaging with pensions, endowments, and foundations, either at an investment management firm or an investment advisory / consulting firm
  • Ability to manage and take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritize a large set of responsibilities, and independently move projects forward from start to finish
  • Willingness to travel extensively to establish and maintain relationships with investors
  • High integrity with strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Undergraduate degree with demonstrated track record of high performance
  • Based in one of Ohana’s offices (Redwood City, Austin, New York City)


Compensation

  • $140K to $180K annual base salary (based on experience)
  • Annual discretionary bonus
