Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Air & Ocean Business Development Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our air and ocean freight services, leveraging their industry expertise and business development skills to expand our market presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis:
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential business opportunities and market trends in air and ocean freight.
  • Analyze competitor strategies and market dynamics to develop effective sales strategies.
  • Client Acquisition:
  • Identify and target potential clients in industries requiring air and ocean freight services.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within target organizations.
  • Present and articulate our value proposition to potential clients, emphasizing our capabilities and tailored solutions.
  • Sales Strategy Development:
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Create and manage a robust sales pipeline, tracking and reporting progress regularly.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management:
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to ensure mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Work closely with legal and operational teams to finalize contracts and ensure smooth implementation of services.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, customer service, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide insights and feedback to enhance service offerings and address customer needs.
  • Performance Metrics:
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business development efforts.
  • Regularly report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to the management team.

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in business development within the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on air and ocean services.
  • Strong understanding of global logistics, including regulations, pricing models, and market trends.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
