Job Title: Business Development Executive (IT)
Location: Chantilly, Virginia (Candidates within a 10-15 mile radius of Lafayette Center Drive preferred)
About The Role
NVR is seeking a Business Development Executive for our Chantilly, VA location to join our Corporate Growth team. Reporting directly to the President, the BD Executive will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and capturing new business opportunities in existing and new Federal Government IT markets (Civilian and DoD). The successful candidate will be accountable for driving business development strategies to exceed company forecasts and plans, while fostering strong client relationships and collaborating with internal teams.

NVR is seeking a Business Development Executive for our Chantilly, VA location to join our Corporate Growth team. Reporting directly to the President, the BD Executive will play a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and capturing new business opportunities in existing and new Federal Government IT markets (Civilian and DoD). The successful candidate will be accountable for driving business development strategies to exceed company forecasts and plans, while fostering strong client relationships and collaborating with internal teams.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, cultivate, and capture a pipeline of new business in Federal Government IT markets, including Joint Ventures.
- Collaborate with business development team and leadership to secure, retain, and expand client accounts.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and offering appropriate solutions.
- Respond to client requests for proposals (RFPs); support proposal development and strategy sessions to align with client objectives.
- Create and deliver presentations to potential clients at meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, and conferences.
- Maintain CRM and other databases with prospective client information.
- Conduct cold calls to potential clients and manage the sales process through to closure.
- Meet or exceed quotas for calls, appointments, and sales goals.
- Collaborate with management on business development goals, planning, and forecasting.
- Proven experience leading a Technology Business Development Team.
- Successful track record of winning Federal IT business within the past 24 months.
- Strong understanding of IT concepts, trends, and solutions.
- Professional demeanor and strong technological proficiency.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Ability to engage professionally with C-Level Executives.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data-driven decision making.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
