The salary range for this role is $58,834 to $115,000 This is the lowest to highest pay scale we, in good faith, believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors, including relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

  • This job is also eligible for bonus pay.

As the Manager, Masterbrand at IHG Hotels and Resorts, you will be responsible for bringing the IHG brand to life on a global level. You will be part of an amazing global team working together to make IHG a beloved household name. IHG is looking for a Manager, Masterbrand responsible for developing and embedding the IHG Hotels & Resorts Masterbrand across the organization and in the hearts and minds of our employees, guests and owners.

  • Serve as a member of the MBSA team, playing an active role with the broader Marketing organization, particularly: global brand team, Marketing Shared Services, Creative, Social, PR, Loyalty, Partnerships, Communications, HR, and development.
  • In close partnership with the Director Masterbrand, create and execute on a 5-year IHG Masterbrand strategy.
  • In close partnership with the Director Masterbrand, build and maintain an 18-month marketing calendar across the org ensuring our audience, regional and campaign calendar builds our brands and drives the business.
  • Refine IHG Hotels & Resorts brand positioning, ensuring we show up clearly and in a memorable way.
  • Manage all IHG Masterbrand assets, ensure they’re being used correctly across org and regions (brand bar, creative review, partnerships)
  • Develops and owns our integrated guest journey maps for digital and physical interactions.
  • Owns the comprehensive management of end-to-end guest journey projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to objectives.
  • Manages relationships across brand teams and GXSS to achieve unified goals effectively.
  • Serves as the primary Masterbrand advocate, ensuring consistency and visibility across all touchpoints.
  • Measures and optimizes the impact of strategies on Masterbrand awareness at the individual brand level to meet awareness targets.
  • Oversees the implementation of brand guidelines and creative standards, ensuring uniformity across all regions and departments.

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

Experience:

  • Typically has 6+ years progressive work experience in brand management, creative, marketing and communications.
  • Experience in building and embedding a strong brand for consumers, employees, and owners.

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale projects from conception through implementation.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff. Ability to influence both franchisees and senior management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of branding and brand management
  • Demonstrated organization and management development, including demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop/implement organizational initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop consumer understanding based on research and existing trends
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving ability and demonstrated creative thinking skills as evidenced by prior campaigns.
  • Ability to think strategically and deliver initiatives successfully.
  • Creative leadership
  • Strong brand management skills
  • Agency management
