About Us: Recently featured on the Today Show and recognized by Men’s Journal as the best additive-free Añejo sipping tequila on the market, 1953 Tequila is founded, farmed, distilled, and led by women. In 1953, women secured the right to vote in Mexico. 1953 Tequila honors the courage, tenacity, and boldness of the women who fought for equality then and those who continue to pursue equality around the world today.

1953 Tequila Añejo launched in October of 2023. It is aged for 15 months in vintage American Oak barrels previously used for premium bourbon. In 2024, 1953 Tequila was awarded a Double Gold medal from the SIP Awards and a Gold medal from NYISC.

Your Role: We are excited to announce the launch of our 1953 Tequila Brand Ambassador Program, seeking ambitious, proactive, and sophisticated team members with experience to act as local extensions of our team. As a Brand Ambassador, you will be instrumental in developing a competitive market strategy for our ultra-premium tequila portfolio. You will identify key opportunities, nurture existing accounts, and assist distributors in achieving their objectives, all while committing to creating opportunities for women at every level in the spirits sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships at key on- and off-premise accounts.
• Educate and Inform: Provide in-depth knowledge of our brands to consumers and accounts, creating top-of-mind awareness.
• Strategic Partnership: Enhance relationships with distributors and educate the sales team.
• Market Presence: Merchandise accounts with POS materials and secure featured drinks (sip, cocktail, etc.) on account menus.
• Public Relations: Seek out local PR opportunities to elevate brand visibility.
• Performance Reporting: Submit weekly and monthly performance reports and provide insights on market trends.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the liquor retail space or beverage industry, with experience managing customer relationships. Previous experience as a Brand Ambassador for lifestyle products or in marketing execution is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: General understanding of the agave industry.
• Personal Attributes: Self-confident, modern, elegant, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Skills: Exceptional customer service principles, organizational skills, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age, possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and have a personal vehicle.

Experience:

• Spirits and wine: 3 years (Required)
• Brand Ambassador/Brand Representative: 2 years (Required)
• Lifestyle Brands: 3 years (Desired)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)

Work Location: In person

Passport: Required as initial training will be done at the distillery in Mexico
