Automotive Sales Consultant

The Automotive Sales Representative is an energetic, highly motivated, outgoing and hardworking individual interested in selling cars, SUVs, and light-duty trucks.

We understand that the first few months as a sales person on commission can be intimidating. During your training period, you do not need to worry about fluctuating commissions as you will earn a minimum monthly commission value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Effectively communicate with clientele to ensure objective, customer needs and sales opportunities meet company standards.
  • Effectively communicate with technicians and outside customer to ensure correct part is ordered.
  • Provide prompt, courteous and accurate service to customers face-to-face or via phone.
  • Maintain familiarity with all inventory products and merchandising programs and ordering systems.
  • Utilize and maintain parts technical resources with most current information.
  • Understand Dealership credit policies.
  • Communicate and help resolve customer complaints and adjustments.
  • Set an example of professionalism and positive attitude including a neat, orderly, safe work environment.


WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:


  • Requires frequent sitting and standing.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel or crouch.
  • Required to lift up to 85 lbs.
  • Normal range hearing and vision.
  • Required manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination for data input.
  • May be required to operate equipment such as a forklift or manual pallet jack in a safe manner at all tim


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Direct industry experience selling heavy-duty truck parts through distribution and/or directly to the end user.
  • Knowledge of computers is a must.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive train, and suspensions.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills.
  • Provide outstanding customer service.
  • Bilingual (Preferred)
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening


PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:


  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Understanding of manufacturer's specifications
  • Familiarity with automotive financing


JOB DETAILS:


  • Type: Salary + Commission
  • Compensation Range: $30,000-$42,000/ year anticipated earnings $75k-$150k
  • Bonus Eligibility: Yes
  • Reports To: General Manager and Sales Manager
