What to expect:
- Lead the design, development, and seamless integration of diverse components and subsystems into military combat vehicles.
- Oversee the design process, from individual component detailing to managing large-scale assemblies for complete vehicle systems.
- Spearhead the design, development, and seamless integration of diverse components and subsystems into military combat vehicles, ensuring adherence to stringent performance and safety standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams in conceptualizing, prototyping, and refining designs to meet evolving operational requirements and strategic objectives.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including engineering teams, suppliers, and government agencies, to ensure alignment with program goals and regulatory compliance.
- Drive innovation by identifying and implementing advanced design methodologies, materials, and technologies to enhance vehicle performance, durability, and mission capabilities.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in military vehicle design and engineering, leveraging insights to inform future design iterations and program enhancements.
- Educational background in AS Product Design specializing in Mechanical, Structural, Systems, Aerospace, or Automotive engineering disciplines.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in product design and development within US Defense programs
- Demonstrated proficiency in design encompassing mechanical and/or electrical aspects, including conceptualization, initial packaging assessments, prototyping, production design, system amalgamation, and system optimization to meet specified criteria.
- Proficient in utilizing diverse CAD processes, design methodologies, prototyping techniques, and manufacturing methods for both prototype and production stages.
