Associate Brand Manager, Heinz
Job Description
Are you ready to be a tenacious trailblazer? This role will be responsible for contributing to the Heinz portfolio in our Away From Home business unit. This role will be responsible for cross-functional leadership of key commercialization projects, ownership of strategic sales driving marketing campaigns, innovation/renovation product and packaging, as well as leading our ESG initiatives. This role will include working in close connection with cross-functional team members including the Taste Elevation Platform Team, Brand Communications, Brand Activations and Partnerships, Disruptive Innovation, CIS, and Operations teams.
This position requires a candidate to embrace an ownership mentality, demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter, be a cross-functional leader, driver of results, and have a strong ability to communicate/story-tell to all levels of leadership. This position will also be responsible for working closely with our Brand Experience team and Brand Activation & Partnerships team to drive brand relevant experience to drive the Heinz brand forward. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Business Execution
This is a Hybrid role with 3 days a week in the local office, with limited travel or visits to external locations; offices are open workspaces. Additionally, this role requires working a salaried, exempt schedule to best execute against customer and internal expectations
Physical demands include but not limited to
Willingness to drive and/or travel as needed
Operate a computer and view screens for ~100% of work schedule

Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Business Execution
- Apply business analytics (equity, share, volume and revenue drivers, competition) to drive business strategy & execution
- Lead high profile commercialization projects for the Heinz brand (innovation/renovation)
- Closely partner and consult with innovation team to ensure alignment with outlined growth strategy and 1/3 YP
- Foster relationships with Marketing, Consumer Insights, R&D, Finance, and Project Management to lead commercialization of renovation and maintenance projects
- Align B2B and B2C brand communications to support key initiatives and projects for the Heinz brand
- Deliver comms-driven partnership ideas that help win new business
- Collaborate extensively with brand platform teams and away-from-home customer marketing, taking on the role of leader in both directions
- Drive discussions during management presentations with platform GM, and business unit President
- Consumer centric & growth mindset – learn fast vs. avoid failure
- Prior or relevant experience working in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)
- Seasoned experience in marketing for an established or startup CPG company
- Experience in agency management & cross-functional team management; self confident individual who can work collaboratively
- Strong personal motivation in fast-paced, often ambiguous environment, with a bias for action
- Demonstrated ability to influence teams and experience managing multiple stakeholders
- Strong “big picture” perspective, while also executing the initiative at hand
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills to internal/external partners
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills; ability to leverage syndicated data sources to assess competitive space, bringing forth insights and recommendations to integrate into overall strategy
- Ability to simplify complex problems and make decisions quickly in pursuit of constant forward progress
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, MBA preferred
