The team invests globally in high-growth companies with significant sales & operations in the US. ECP seeks to partner with entrepreneurs and management teams at the early stage of business creation & growth. Investments typically take the form of preferred equity, with initial check sizes ranging from $500k - $10M depending on the stage of the business.
Role and Responsibilities
The Associate role will offer you an opportunity to work as part of our lean investment team as we conduct due diligence on new investments and support existing portfolio companies. You will participate in all steps of the investment and portfolio management processes under guidance and direction from senior team members.
Conduct due diligence on potential investments
Prepare investment committee materials
Assist with deal structure and execution, including preparation and maintenance of financial models
Partner with portfolio companies on strategic and operational initiatives, involving anything from tactical hands-on execution on specific projects to serving as a thought partner
Research attractive markets, develop investment theses and build professional network through attending industry tradeshows, conferences and events
Professional Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent
Minimum two years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, management consulting, or corporate development
Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, and written and verbal communication skills
Robust analytical skillset with ability to build dynamic financial models, synthesize large amounts of data and distill information into key points
Must be highly entrepreneurial, able to operate independently and have an exceptional work ethic
