We are currently looking for an organised and enthusiastic Assistant Operations Manager to join our friendly office team in North Acton to help support our office and driver teams and the smooth running of our Operations.

This is an amazing opportunity for someone to join our thriving Operations team. You will need Operations/logistics experience but you will need to be organised and great with administration skills.
The Job
The Operations Assistant Manager (AOM) will support the Operations Manager in ensuring the efficient functioning of the department. Based in Park Royal, the AOM will oversee daily operations of the depot, including staff levels and performance, as well as liaising with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining Staff Levels
Analysing staffing levels across the operations function to ensure the optimum level of staff to deliver both profitability and performance
Recruiting the best people into the company following the Company recruitment process
Managing office coverage to ensure our drivers are fully supported. (including the allocation of overtime)
Managing Performance
Line management of the office-based supervisor team
Training the supervisory team to deliver their best work
Monitoring driver performance trends and anomalies and following up on these with action plans/processes
Carrying out investigation and disciplinary processes where required
Daily Operations
Coordinate daily departmental activities.
Ensuring relevant systems are maintained and up to date e.g. Managing Salesforce administration.
Providing operational support across all operations departments and locations, including collection, delivery, and the sack sorting facility.
Building and maintaining relationships and open communication with other departments across the business e.g. Customer Success and Sales
Ensure health and safety processes are in place and maintained.
Project work
Assist in the development and modernisation of departmental processes.
Contribute to the overall growth of the business and the operations team.
Essential

Knowledge of logistics.

Strong working knowledge of performance management and disciplinary processes
Desirable
Knowledge of the waste industry.
Experience with CRM systems.
Proficiency in Excel.
Operations runs 24/7 so whilst this role is 45 hpw and mostly during office hours, there will be a requirement to work some late and early shifts and the occasional weekend.
